Where to Find Me This Week

Another week packed with wonderful news and awesome interviews! I’m thrilled to share so many things with you!

On Thursday, January 17 at 9 p.m. Eastern, I’ll be on a live discussion panel for Go Indie Now, chatting about publishing industry articles and topics. Come join us, ask questions, share your opinions!

I told you I’d let you know when my interview on The Book Tavern went live, and viola! Here it is! I loved this interview‚ÄĒI answered what the tipping point was for leaving my full-time job to work for myself, why I opened my editing business, what’s coming from me publication-wise in 2019, and more. Have a read!

For my next interview, I’ll be on Get Published Podcast, which will be pre-recorded today and then released later. I’ll let you know when it’s up, and I think you’ll like it because I’ll be coming up with unique answers to these questions. No hints as to what’s included though! ūüėČ

I was featured on Authors on the Air, interviewed by the fabulous boss lady, Pam Stack, and what a great interview it was! She asked me questions no one else ever has, including what I look for in a query letter as an acquisitions editor, how much of a manuscript I read before I make a decision as well as what I’m looking for, what I like about interviewing authors, and a ton more.

My latest interview for Creative Edge Writer’s Showcase is live, and this one was with Amelia Lionheart. She’s a very kind-hearted, knowledgeable children’s and YA author whose books revolve around environmentalism, conservationism, and diversity. She’s sending me some of her books and I’m sending her mine; I’ll be sure to share a pic with you when hers come in!

By the way, Creative Edge Writer’s Showcase is becoming available in more and more places! Currently you can find episodes on SoundCloud, iTunes, Podbean, Anchor, and even more, I’m sure.

That’s it for now! I’ll have lots more soon.

Interviewed by Too Full To Write!

I’m thrilled¬†to be featured on Too Full To Write¬†today. I was interviewed by¬†David Ellis, a fellow author who writes poetry, short stories, and flash fiction. He also took part in 2016’s NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month), and you can see the poems he wrote throughout the month here.

In our interview, I discuss why I write, the research I do, writing motivation, my 15-year publishing plan, and more, including who I would want to act in an Anatomy of a Darkened Heart movie. See the full interview here. Take a look at the other authors David has interviewed on his site as well!

Interviewed by The Scary Reviews!

I’m proud and excited to be featured on The Scary Reviews today. I was interviewed by¬†David Spell, a very well read indie reviewer and creator of the site, as part of his brilliant Spotlighting Women in Horror feature. It was fantastic talking to him about the music that inspired¬†Anatomy of a Darkened Heart and other works, the authors that have impacted my writing, my favorite themes to write about, and how I came up with the title for my book. There’s much more, too! David asked questions I so enjoyed answering. See the full interview here. Hope you enjoy learning more about AoDH, my writing process, and the fantasy land I’d preferably live in! ūüôā

Belmar BookCon Year 2

Another successful year at Belmar BookCon! This was their second year, and it was my second year going. I will definitely go again and again. I’m sure someday it will end up being so huge that readers will overcrowd it – the authors deserve that. But for now, I’m lucky enough to be able to talk to each author and small press for a little while to get to know them and their work. It’s amazing to see the diversity of titles delivered through each stall’s books. I bought so many different genres!

Stay tuned for a chance to win THE MEMORY BOX by Eva Lesko Natiello, personalized to you by the author! You’ll also see more about these books in the future, most likely starting next year.
