Interviewed by Too Full To Write!

I’m thrilled to be featured on Too Full To Write today. I was interviewed by David Ellis, a fellow author who writes poetry, short stories, and flash fiction. He also took part in 2016’s NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month), and you can see the poems he wrote throughout the month here.

In our interview, I discuss why I write, the research I do, writing motivation, my 15-year publishing plan, and more, including who I would want to act in an Anatomy of a Darkened Heart movie. See the full interview here. Take a look at the other authors David has interviewed on his site as well!

Interviewed by The Scary Reviews!

I’m proud and excited to be featured on The Scary Reviews today. I was interviewed by David Spell, a very well read indie reviewer and creator of the site, as part of his brilliant Spotlighting Women in Horror feature. It was fantastic talking to him about the music that inspired Anatomy of a Darkened Heart and other works, the authors that have impacted my writing, my favorite themes to write about, and how I came up with the title for my book. There’s much more, too! David asked questions I so enjoyed answering. See the full interview here. Hope you enjoy learning more about AoDH, my writing process, and the fantasy land I’d preferably live in! 🙂

The Scary Reviews Talks About AoDH

Yesterday I was thrilled to find horror and dark fiction review website The Scary Reviews had posted a review of Anatomy of a Darkened Heart. I have to say, when I found out the wonderful David Spell was reading my book, I was nervous. AoDH is certainly dark, but it isn’t horror. Some people say AoDH creeps them out while others enjoy its darkness with no creep factor. David is a seasoned horror reviewer, so you can imagine my split feelings between excitement at his reading my book and apprehension. What if it simply didn’t hit the mark of being dark enough to satisfy a reader with so many dark fiction books under his belt?

See for yourself why I’m excited about his review.

I’m so fortunate to be featured on David’s new section of his website “Women in Horror”, a project that’s very exciting for us females who want to be recognized for our darkness. Make sure to check out the other ladies who have been and will be featured on David’s site. David’s interview with me will be posted December 15, so stay tuned for that as well!
